any good craft shop should be able to help you
there are lots of different glues-some especially for wood and bark
its not all Copydex you know!
One of the great joys of crafts-the things you can find out

Half filled bottles of what? My neighbours cat always craps in my flowerbed and so far has not been scared off by orangepeel or a balti from my local indian take-away.

My preferred basketry material is the European true bulrush (Scirpus lacustris). It grows in rivers, streams and ponds to a height of 8 feet. It is emerald green while growing and dries to lovely shades of green, gold and brown.
Rush has no leaves but a round stem full of pith, with a sheath at the butt end and a cluster of reddish brown florets at the tip. Bulrush needs to be distinguished from cattails or reedmace. Bulrush has a much larger pith and is softer. It is beautiful material for chair seating, hat making and plaited basketry.
Rush can be purchased dry and should be stored in a dry, dark place. To prepare, it is not soaked, but sprinkled with a hose on both sides and tightly wrapped in a blanket to mellow overnight. Rush feels like chamois leather in its prepared state although it can chafe if worn next to the skin.

I can't believe my neighbours cat would be afraid of bottles of water... are you winding me up?
Perhaps I should get one of those marshmallow guns instead?
