The round stem of the rush, full of pith, is it a chewy type of pith?

Cool as a cucumber I am.
But running out of time I'm afraid as I was hoping to install a willy willow this very weekend but feel that I can't due to fear of the perils of cat piss.
I could always construct some sort of woolly willy willow warmer I suppose to protect new garden feature?
Has anybody got experience in crochet?

Actually, I have some expertise in that area, having crocheted a Dr WHo Scarf in my youth. I suppose I could adapt it to decorate a basket with patterns

A basket with patterns? Why thank you so very much for your very kind offer but just how jolly big do willy willows grow? Do they go small at night and more erect in the day or vice versa?
I think that I might have to consider a different type of willow as a willy willow may attract the wrong kind of pussy cat. My oh my ;-(

| no thanks Graham, that would be breaching the terms of the forum, I'm afraid you'll need to start your own thread to talk about them. |

How fast do willy willows grow? Is it a life-time relationship?
