Stop Form Spam with ReCaptcha

Hi, in this video, I'm just going to show you how to mitigate getting spam form submissions.
For example, on this website, there's the registration form. Sometimes with forms on websites, you can get automatic spam that completes forms and you'll get in our span.
That can go on any form like in this registered form or it could go on this contact form here. Now, one of the ways to mitigate that is to add a Capture. Capture is like a Google product which stops automated spam bots from completing forms. So websites from rec sites integrate with Capture, and you can add this to your forms. I'm just going to show you how to do that. What you do is when you've spun up a website, you would log in to your website. Go to recsites.co.uk and just log in with your username and password go to the dashboard and go down to Forms and then Forms.
Then go to, say, one of the forms or the contact form, just click Edit. Go to, I think, Settings, integrations. Sorry, it's in settings here, sorry, in the forms. Capture, there you go. We integrate with reCAPTCHA and HCAPTCHA.
In this case, we're just going to use reCAPTCHA and just go to... There are different versions of it. The version three is the latest version, so click version three tab here. You need to put in the site key and secret key here.
How did you get that? Well, there's a link here, says generate API key. You click that and it will open up Google.
What you do is you get Google reCAPTCHA. All you do is click the plus button here to create and put in the name of the website. In this case, I'm just going to put in this. I'm going to put in my H and see that, and just click the reCAPTCHA version 3, and then put in the domain here.
Put in the domain without HTTPS or anything and without that thing at the end there. It's just that there. Okay? And then agree to the terms and then click submit. Okay? And it gives you the site key and secret key. That's a copy of the site key here and paste it into here. Here, I'll go to the preview here and do the same with the secret key. And then click Save settings.
And you'll see the preview here. There you go. Now, what you want to do, once you've integrated version 3 reCAPTCHA, go back to the forms and go to one of the forms, for example, the Contact Form, click Edit, and then go to integrations, settings. No, sorry, fields, get it down the end, and click InsertField, click the Recapture field there, and click Insert Field.
Go to version 3 here. I like the inline form here. That puts the recapture in the form itself and click Apply. You can see the recapture is there. Then click, Oh, click, Update. Okay, that's done. Then do the same for the other forms. So for example, the registration form. Go to fields, insert field, reCAPTCHA, insert field, person three, inline, apply, and then Update. Okay, and then the other forms. Home registration. Insert field. Recapture. Insert field. Version 3: inline, apply. Update 3: inline, apply. Update. Okay, and then the last one. Let's hire in one, edit that.
We captured already on that one. Edit field. Version three. Inline. Okay, apply. Okay, we'll do that. Now if we go to the visit site, go to the front-end website, we'll see now the reCAPTCHA is there on that form.
The reCAPTCHA is here. If we log out, I'll go back to the website, go to the register, you can see the reCAPTCHA is there as well. What that means is that any automated Span bot that is used to fill out forms automatically won't be able to complete this form because of this reCAPTCHA.
It's a good Google product. It's great to stop you from getting those spam form submissions, which can be quite annoying.
There you go. That's how to install reCAPTCHA, which is integrated with Recsites.
Thanks for watching.
